How email subscription works

The newsletter currently sends the complete version of each new English Post shortly after publication. Topics focus on AI, technology, software engineering, and long-term growth. Notes do not trigger separate emails; they remain available on the website and RSS, with room for a future roundup. Website articles and the newsletter remain free.

How to subscribe

  1. Find the email signup form inside this page or any article.
  2. Enter an email address you regularly use and select “Subscribe free.”
  3. When the page reports success, the subscription is active immediately. No confirmation step is required.
  4. Check the inbox for the welcome email, which usually arrives within a few minutes.
  5. Each new English Post will arrive in full at that address.

After a successful submission, the signup component shows a confirmation message and gently collapses within about three seconds.

If the welcome email does not arrive

Welcome emails usually take only a few minutes. Check the following:

  1. Spam, junk, or Promotions folders.
  2. The submitted address for spelling errors.
  3. Whether the email provider blocks unfamiliar senders.
  4. Wait a few minutes, then refresh the inbox.

When the message appears, mark its sender as trusted to reduce future filtering.

If the address was entered incorrectly, scroll to the page footer and select “Didn't receive it? Reset and try another email” in the subscription status. This clears only the subscription state stored on the current device, allowing the form to appear again. It does not cancel the existing subscription.

Do not repeatedly submit the same address; another submission will not send another welcome email. If the address is correct but the welcome email still does not arrive, contact contact@grant-dai.com.

How to unsubscribe

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link near its footer:

  1. Open any Grant Dai newsletter.
  2. Scroll to the bottom.
  3. Select “Unsubscribe” or the subscription-preferences link.
  4. If a confirmation page opens, follow its instructions to finish.

After unsubscribing, the system stops sending the newsletter to that address. This does not affect website access, RSS subscriptions, or social follows. To return later, submit the same address through the signup form again.

Delivery and privacy

  • Each new English Post sends one complete email.
  • The email contains the publication-time version. Open the web version for later corrections and revisions.
  • Notes do not send individual emails. A separate Notes roundup may be added later.
  • Email addresses are used for newsletter delivery, subscription management, and necessary service notices.
  • No spam and no sale of email addresses.
